I AM not averse to the plight of children affected by sudden death being made public ('The night the bad men came and killed my daddy', 23 October).

Earlier articles have examined this issue in a helpful way.

I am, however, averse to named children being used by the media and by trauma units to give impact to the concerns they are highlighting. The children may be in no condition to realise the effect on their recovery of going public in so personal a way.
