Letter: You don't have to be a sexist pig to hog the road

SANDY SULAIMAN diminishes an otherwise valid argument ('Why macho man resents fast women', Review, 7 February) with her choice of incidents to back up her claim.

If a 'tomato-red Corvette' had room to overtake her on the inside lane of the M40, then she was guilty of centre-lane hogging. The common but misguided belief that the inner lane is for slow traffic is one of the main causes of frustration (and possible accidents) for drivers who follow the correct procedure of trying to resume the inside lane as soon as possible, irrespective of speed.
