Letter: Valid record

Mick Imlah's profile of fell runner Joss Naylor ("The Legend of Iron Joss", Review, 9 June), implied that the validity of my Lake District 24-hour Fell Record is questionable. I realise that the minutiae of such an obscure sport are probably of little interest to your readers, but I object to having damaging innuendoes published about me in your paper. I wish to point out that I was accompanied at all times during my run by some of the foremost members of the fell-running community, numbering twenty-odd people in all.
