Sir: Regarding the article about the Regent Street style of street furniture (14 October), I strongly disagree. It is about time we started to raise standards above the mediocrity of so many English towns. I want to see the Regent Street styles extended more widely. People deserve something pleasing to the eye. The time to escape from the terrifying Bauhaus movement is overdue.
