LETTER: Mental health care requires psychiatry and counselling

I SEE a nightmare scenario approaching for psychotics. I had approximately 35 compulsory admissions for psychosis between 1966 and 1969. These illnesses are caused by chemical imbalance in the brain. It just isn't going to help if the first consultation with your doctor begins, "were you breast fed?". The greatest event in my psychiatric care was the day I had my first depot injection. My hallucinations stopped dead.
