Sir: Glenys Williams (letter, 27 January) might ask herself why so many capable women still take the route to power adopted by Hillary Clinton and attempted by Monica Lewinsky. Could it be that for the great majority, women as well as men, nature is a stronger driving force than nurture; and that, in the long run, clamorous feminism of the Anglo-Saxon variety will be seen to have been a brave attempt to swim against this tide.
