Ahead of this week's US release of the much-anticipated Sex and the City 2 move, several hotels around the world have launched packages for fans to experience life just like Carrie Bradshaw and co.
The Gaansevoort Hotel in New York, the spiritual home of Sex and the City, has put together a "Girls in the City" package that includes complementary Cosmopolitans by the pool, VIP passes to several New York nightclubs and discounts at stores in the Meatpacking District from $545 (€445) through September 7.
Affinia, which runs five hotels in New York, has its own "Girls in the City" package, which includes a tour of the film's locations, a signature shoe bag, a Sex and the City book and some bubbly for toasting the girls, from $219 (€178, at the Affinia Manhattan) through September 6.
Long haul tour operator Travelmood is running its own "Sex and the City" breaks to New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, with accommodation at The Hudson New York (opened by Samantha's ex-beau Richard Wright in the TV series), the Los Angeles Millennium Biltmore or the Hotel Metropolis on San Francisco's Union Square.
The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead has a "Glamour Girls" package, which includes Sunday brunch (complete with Cosmos) and a champagne reception at the Buckhead Neiman Marcus shoe store from $279 (€227) through June 27.
The Four Seasons Chicago is offering a "Suites and the Second City" package, which includes a "martini man" to deliver Cosmopolitans to your suite, complementary makeovers at Bloomingdale's, $100 (€82) daily spa credit and $50 (€41) shopping voucher from $625 (€510) through September 6.
Further afield, London's St James Hotel has its "Sex and the City Chic" deal from £325 (€380), which includes Cosmopolitans, a two course meal and full English breakfast through June 19.
The famous Plaza Athénée in Paris is offering its prestige suites, complete with Cosmopolitans, a red Plaza Athénée umbrella and cakes on arrival, for €3,800 per night in its "Sex and the City Offer".
