Apple App Store approval process changes

The move was met with widespread enthusiasm from bloggers and developers alike, who said the changes were a much-needed improvement to Apple's seemingly arbitrary approval system.

Google Instant
Google revolutionized internet search again this week. This time by providing search algorithms that are so intuitive search results appear before you finish typing in your query. Google Instant doesn't have to wait for your fingers to finish stumbling around the keyboard, it's already predicting the search query you have in mind. Google took to its blog to say, "Our testing has shown that Google Instant saves the average searcher two to five seconds per search."   
       
HP vs Oracle
Former Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP) CEO Mark Hurd's name was splashed across all the blogs again this week. HP filed a civil complaint against Hurd after rival company Oracle appointed Hurd co-president of the company. Nokia hires ex Microsoft exec
Former Microsoft executive Stephen Elop was named the new CEO at Nokia, the largest mobile phone maker in the world on Friday. "Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo ousted as ex-Microsoft Stephen Elop steps in," "Nokia Makes The Same Mistake Again: Hires A Manager, Not A Product Visionary," and "Let's Hope Stephen Elop Is Smart Enough To Switch Nokia To Android," wrote bloggers.

Windows Phone 7
An article on the website Pocket-lint got bloggers talking about the forthcoming launch of Windows Phone 7 (WP7). According to the blog, Microsoft is getting ready to launch its new mobile phone operating system on October 11 in New York. According to the article WP7 devices will be available within the month. Bloggers have also started spotting WP7 devices in the wild; pictures of the LG E900 appeared on Slash Gear and Boy Genius Report posted photos of the Samsung GT-i8700.
