Yorkshire skittled for 75

Yorkshire slumped to one of their lowest ever Sunday League totals yesterday as Kent stayed in contention for the title at Headingley.

Kent clinched an 86-run win to retain second place after bowling out Yorkshire for just 75 - only one more than their lowest ever total in the 40-over competition.

It could have been even worse but for Bradley Parker top-scoring with an unbeaten 20 and helping to add 37 for their final three wickets, after Yorkshire had slumped to 38 for 7 chasing a victory target of 162.

Glamorgan hung on to top spot after sealing a 29-run victory over Middlesex at Colwyn Bay. Set a victory target of 250, Middlesex seemed on course with Mike Gatting (50) and Keith Brown (47) putting on 88 in 11 overs. But, needing 35 from the final three overs, Stephen Barwick claimed two wickets to effectively end Middlesex's chase.

Hampshire lost off the last ball against Gloucestershire at Bristol despite a century stand by Robin Smith and Sean Morris. The visitors finished four runs short of their victory target of 223.
