The quest of Todd Woodbridge to enhance his already impressive entry in doubles history sees him with a potential six matches in the next three days.

The 32-year-old Australian's 6-3, 6-1 victory with Svetlana Kuznetsova over Martin Rodriguez and Samantha Reeves last night put the fourth seeds into only the mixed third round.

The men's doubles was held up both by the involvement of Woodbridge's partner, Jonas Bjorkman, in yesterday's singles quarter-finals, and by one of the doubles quarter-finals being unfinished from Tuesday night. But the semi-final line-up is now clear after the top seeds, Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi, who led Martin Damm and Cyril Suk 7-6, 7-6, 5-3 overnight, played just five points yesterday to set up a semi-final against Leander Paes and David Rikl.

The women's doubles now has three of the four semi-final pairs, following Elena Dementieva and Lina Krasnoroutskaya's 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 victory over Maria Vento-Kabchi and Angelique Widjaja.

In the mixed doubles, the top seeds, Bhupathi and Paola Suarez, were beaten 6-3, 6-4 by Nenad Zimonjic and Iroda Tulyaganova.
