Aljaz Bedene may not be representing Great Britain any more but he will hit the practice courts at Wimbledon on Tuesday wearing an England shirt because he is such a big fan of Harry Kane .
And Bedene, who switched back to competing for his native Slovenia in January after being prevented from playing in the Davis Cup for Britain, used Kane as inspiration during his victory over current British number two Cameron Norrie.
Bedene was unhappy with a number of line calls and was left dumbfounded when a Norrie lob on break point in the second set was not called long.
He said: "It wasn't easy. It was an important point. And then the ball was long. That was the third or fourth one already. I stayed calm. I actually thought of Harry Kane, when he gets bad calls and he's still focused, because I'm bringing his shirt tomorrow. I'm a big fan of his.

"He's the type of player who just sticks to what he knows best. Doesn't go against the referees. He accepts the mistakes. I was watching the game - I mean, I watched all of the games, but especially the one against Tunisia. He was pulled down and he stayed calm.
"I would freak out, because it was an important moment. I kept calm, which was good."
Bedene put the incident behind him to take the second-set tie-break and level the match and went on to win 4-6 7-6 (7/4) 7-6 (7/4) 6-4, setting up a second-round match with either 20th seed Pablo Carreno Busta or Radu Albot.
