Grigor Dimitrov might have been playing his first Wimbledon semi-final, but it appeared that the BBC were more interested in his girlfriend.

The Bulgarian, who knocked out Andy Murray in the quarter finals, was battling to earn a place in the final against No.1 seed Novak Djokovic.

If you were among the packed Centre Court crowd, you might not have noticed that cheering him on was former Wimbledon Ladies champion, Maria Sharapova, Dimitrov's girlfriend.

Although there is no chance of that being the case for those watching at home - with the cameras cutting to Sharapova at seemingly any opportunity.

The Russian tennis star of course knows exactly what it takes to win a Wimbledon semi-final, but unfortunately for Dimitorv she couldn't inspire him to a shock win over the favourite for this year's title, as Djokovic held his nerve to win a thrilling match in four sets.
