The Tennents Sixes reaches its first milestone on Sunday and Monday at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow. Its success is manifest for the 10th tournament is proving as popular a mid-season diversion as the previous nine, which attracted more than 150,000 spectators. Celtic, the holders, open the tournament on Sunday afternoon against St Johnstone, a repeat of last year's final. Falkirk, Aberdeen, who have won the Sixes twice, and Hibernian complete group one. Group two play Sunday evening, featuring Airdrieonians, Heart of Midlothian, Partick Thistle, Dundee United and Motherwell.

How to get there: Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Congress Road, Glasgow. Leave M8 at junction 19 and follow signs to SECC. Admission: Sunday 2-5pm and

7-10pm: pounds 6.50 adults, pounds 3.25 children under-16 per session. Monday finals 6.45-10.30pm: sold out. (Tel: 041-248 3000).
