Blackburn Rovers will play their home reserve matches at Preston's Deepdale ground next season.

Graeme Souness has made a pounds 500,000 bid to make the Coventry midfielder Mike Marsh the first signing for his new club Galatasaray. Coventry's manager, Ron Atkinson, confirmed that Souness has agreed to meet the asking price for Marsh and explained his decision to sell by saying: "We are having to shuffle things about because we want to bring in new players."

Sweden's Henrik Larsson has been offered a pounds 2m deal to move from Feyenoord to Coventry.

Joe Jakub, the former Burnley, Wigan and Chester defender has joined the coaching staff at Preston.

Jurgen Kohler, the German international defender, has agreed to join the Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund from Italian champions Juventus in a deal worth in the region of pounds 1.8m.

The Colombian international striker Faustino Asprilla has fallen out with the Italian club Parma and could be on the move to German champions Borussia Dortmund. Asprilla was angry when he was told that Parma planned to fine him for a newspaper attack on the club's coach, Nevio Scala. Borussia are prepared to offer pounds 6.9m but Parma are holding out for pounds 7.7m.

Napoli's former president, Corrado Ferlaino, has won a legal battle to regain control of the debt-ridden club. Ferlaino's first task will be to stave off moves to put the former Italian champions into liquidation. Napoli have debts estimated at almost 40 billion lire (pounds 15.9m) and could be excluded from Serie A if they fail to balance their books by the middle of next month.

Wolfsburg's manager, Peter Pender, has complained to the German federation that Bayern Munich have offered a player, Michael Sternkopf, to their opponents in the German Cup final Borussia Monchengladbach at a knockdown price. If Monchengladbach win today's match Bayern, who finished below them in the league, will be awarded their Uefa Cup place for next season.
