TRACEY HINTON, who won two silvers and a bronze at the Paralympics last summer may have to miss the European Championships in Dublin in September if she cannot find a runner-guide to replace Bernard Chesney, who ran with her in Barcelona but who has had to give up because of work commitments.

DAVID GRINDLEY, the British 400 metres runner, races against the World Cup winner Sunday Bada, of Nigeria, in the TSB international at Birmingham's national indoor arena on 20 February.

THE organisers of the NutraSweet-sponsored London Marathon have launched a bond aimed at raising pounds 1m for recreational facilities in the capital. Two hundred bonds are being made available at pounds 5,000 each. Each bond guarantees 25 entries to the race over five years.
