CARELAMAN: drifted from 8-1 to 20-1 prior to his debut at Sandown on Thursday, but ran on particularly well inside the final furlong to force the hot favourite, Double Bass, to fight hard for his half- length success. With his trainer starting to hit form, his maiden status is unlikely to last much longer. (J Dunlop).

GHURRAH: had proved difficult to win with prior to a game neck success at Newmarket on Friday night, but this Sharpo filly could now prove the sort to run up a sequence. (C J Benstead).

REGALSETT: to judge by riding arrangements, the least fancied of his trainer's three runners in a Newbury maiden on Friday, but certainly caught the eye, keeping on well into fifth behind Norfolk Hero. Should open his account when stepped up to seven furlongs. (R Hannon).
