Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima have been retained by Williams for the 2009 Formula One season.

Williams have opted for continuity, with Rosberg now heading into his fourth year with the Grove-based team, whilst it will be the second for Nakajima.

The news comes in a week when Rosberg finished a Formula One career-high second in Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.

The 23-year-old German is currently 12th in the drivers' standings with 17 points, with Nakajima 15th after collecting nine points in his debut season.

Nico Hulkenberg, who is currently leading the Formula Three Euroseries, is also to remain as the team's test driver.

Team principal Frank Williams said: "I am delighted we are able to maintain continuity with our drivers going into 2009.

"Nico continues to be one of the most capable drivers in the sport, whilst Kazuki is getting stronger all the time and has more to offer."
