It was a special night on Raw because not only was it meant to be an action filled night, but it was also the annual Slammy Awards, hosted by Seth Green.

The first match of the night was between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins. Ziggler came flying out of the blocks but Rollins came back into the match, and both men had a number of close pinfalls. Rollins got the win after one of J&J distracted the referee, allowing the other to push The Show-off from the top rope, allowing Rollins to hit the Curb-Stomp and get the win.

The New Day were in action next, with Kofi Kingston facing off against Stardust. Kofi’s high-flying moves and aerial ability put him in control from the off, and a cross-body from the top rope mixed with a lateral press gave Kingston the three-count over the strange starman.

A Divas match followed, NXT Champion Charlotte Flair in action against Natalya. The aggressive Charlotte dominated the match straight away. When Natalya went for the Sharpshooter though, Charlotte countered with the Figure-Four, only for Natalya to counter again and roll up her opponent in a surprise package for a win.

In between all the awards and matches, we had another skirmish between Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose – who appeared in an ambulance, which was the only highlight of this confrontation.

Former brothers Big Red Erick Rowan and Luke Harper were the next two superstars to square off against each other in the ring. The physical matchup between the two didn’t last long as Harper used a ladder at ringside to get himself disqualified. But Rowan got the last laugh as he wrapped the steel stairs around the Intercontinental Champion’s head.

We then had another standard brawl between Rusev and Jack Swagger who face each other at Sunday’s TLC.

A six-man Tag-Team match now with The Usos teaming up with Ryback against Kane and Miz & Mizdow. The match swung back and forth until Ryback got involved; Kane got superkicked by both Usos before Ryback took control and hit a Meat-Hook Clothesline and Shellshocked on The Miz.

Newly-crowned Diva of the year AJ Lee was in action next against Summer Rae. The match didn’t last long as although Summer Rae started well, AJ made her tap out to the Black Widow.

The Main Event now and it was John Cena finally facing The Big Show, after Show knocked out Cena at Survivor Series and turned heel. It was a terrible match and just as Cena looked to hit the Attitude Adjustment on Show, Rollins appeared to break it up.

As Rollins was about to Curb-Stomp Cena from the top of the ladder, Ziggler appeared and broke it up. Big Show had recovered by this point though and hit knockout punches to both Cena and Ziggler. Erick Rowan then came down but Luke Harper attacked him from behind, before Show hit him with the steel steps.

Ryback then came down but he was attacked by Kane with a steel chair, while Harper slammed Ziggler through a table and Rollins Curb-Stomped Cena before putting him through the announce table. We’ve been here before haven’t we? This has only been the last scene on Raw for the last two months now.
