Ben Fisher is to extend his Super League career to help the Catalan Dragons out of a hooking crisis. The French side would have had to start the new season this weekend with just one specialist in the role – Ian Henderson.

His understudy, Eloi Pelissier, is injured, as is Gregory Mounis, who has also been used in the position. Batley have come to the rescue by allowing Fisher to go on loan to the Dragons for the first two months of the season. The Scotland international was released by Hull KR last season.
