While deadline day is one of the big events in the football calendar for the fans, it's enough to make the blood boil for managers up and down the country. That's certainly the case for Middlesbrough's Aitor Karanka, who has accused the club of failing to land his main transfer targets this month. He hasn't help back, either...

It looks like Alex Bruce won't be heading to Aston Villa to join his managing father, Steve Bruce, as he's off to Madrid - the city, not the club...we think.

Crystal Palace have held negotiations with Liverpool over the potential signing of Mamadou Sakho, according to reports.

The France international has been exiled by Jurgen Klopp since he was sent home from the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

However, according to the Daily Mirror, Palace manager Sam Allardyce is reluctant to meet Sakho's £20million asking price and wage demands.

West Ham talent Reece Oxford looks to be on his way to Championship promotion contenders Reading.

The club's co-owner David Sullivan confirmed on Talksport that the teenager is currently in talks over a temporary move to the Madejski Stadium.

Oxford, 18, signed a long-term contract with the Hammers earlier in the season, and had also been linked with a loan move to Nottingham Forest.

You may have seen that the odds of Seamus Coleman joining Manchester United took a tumble yesterday...

The Everton full-back himself has now had his say.

Leicester City are looking to get a loan deal over the line.

Udinese's Molla Wague is in the east Midlands with a view to completing a temporary move to the Premier League champions.

Southampton were also thought to be monitoring the 25-year-old centre-back, who recently returned from the Africa Cup of Nations following Mali's group stage elimination.

Here's an update on a young English talent from our football reporter Jack Pitt-Brooke...

James Maddison returned to Norwich City from Aberdeen yesterday but don't expect him to go back out on loan for the second half of the season.

Because he played for Norwich in an EFL Cup game last August, he has already played for two clubs and so Fifa will not allow him to play for a third. So unless he goes back to Aberdeen he has to stay at Norwich for the rest of the season.

Brentford are set to complete a club record signing today.

Here's Jack Pitt-Brooke with more...

Sergi Canos is at Brentford for what will be a club record signing for the west London club.

They are paying Norwich City £2.5million, before add-ons, meaning that Norwich could even make a profit on the £2.5m they paid Liverpool for Canos last summer.

That was the asking price for Canos all window but it was only last night that Brentford agreed to pay the money. That suggests that Brentford know they are about to make some money from somewhere.

BREAKING! Emmanuel Adebayor finally has a club!

After leaving Crystal Palace at the end of last season, the former Arsenal and Manchester City striker has been on the hunt for a new home, without success.

That's all changed now though, after returning from Togo's African Cup of Nations campaign to strike a deal with Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir...

Emmanuel Adebayor has agreed to join Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir

Moussa Dembele has been pictured travelling on a plane to London.

You may have seen these images of the Celtic striker on board a flight to the capital this morning, amid rumours of a move to Chelsea.

It is, indeed, thought to be Dembele in the images and he is flying to London, but only for a scan on his knee injury.

Panic over, Bhoys.
