Despite his dismissal, Roberto Martinez built a squad of some considerable talent at Everton.

The Spaniard’s defensive recruitment left a lot to be desired, no doubt, but his side’s attacking play was among the most devastating in the Premier League.

One of the main complaints among supporters at Goodison Park was that Martinez had failed, ultimately, to get the best out of a highly talented group and the club’s underachievement this term will have left a distinct smell of blood lingering in their rivals’ nostrils.

The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have circled around Martinez's talented crop in the past and may now have increased hopes of prising some of it away from Merseyside.

Those in the Gwladys Street end, meanwhile, will hope that the prospect of a new dawn under Farhad Moshiri, the British-Iranian billionaire who completed a takeover earlier this year, will be enough to convince most to stay.

Will a number of the Toffees' players now be poached from Goodison Park, or can Moshiri’s financial clout save the day? Take a look at the gallery above.
