Summer transfer window 2018: Latest Premier League deals and rumours round-up

Unai Emery says he's satisfied with his Arsenal squad heading into the new Premier League season but isn't ruling out a further foray into the transfer market before the window closes.

Arsene Wenger's successor has been busy already this summer adding five new faces including goalkeeper Bernd Leno, defenders Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Stefan Lichtsteiner and midfielder Lucas Torreira.

The Gunners, who are currently in Singapore as part of their pre-season tour, begin their Premier League campaign against champions Manchester City in a little over a fortnight.

And Emery hasn't ruled out adding to his squad before the deadline.

"I am very happy with how the club is working and we are working every day on how we can improve," he said.

"I am with the players and those who have arrived this week, I am very happy with and I said at the last press conference that if there is an opportunity to try to sign one player, then we are looking."

The window shuts earlier this year after clubs voted for it to shut prior to the season.

"For us, the decision to close the transfer market on August 9 is good because we start the Premier League and it is better to close the window when the competition starts.

"They haven’t done it in Spain, or Italy or Germany, but for us I think it is good."
