Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal stated that Adnan Januzaj is "still not for sale" as the winger continues to be linked with a move to Sunderland.
The 20-year-old Belgian burst onto the scene at Old Trafford under David Moyes but failed to impress Van Gaal last season, starting just eight matches in the Premier League.
He was then left out of the squad for the opening day win against Spurs and has been linked with loan moves to Sunderland and Everton.
When quizzed on whether he would consider letting Januzaj leave on loan, Van Gaal replied: "He is still not for sale."
The Dutch coach insisted that he is happy with the player, however.
"I have 28 players and I have to select every week, every three days. Last week I choose our players. He (Januzaj) is doing his best.
"All the players are, I don't have any complaints."
