Manchester United are still searching for a Premier League win under new boss Louis van Gaal after the 1-1 draw away at Sunderland.

The Red Devils started brightly, with Juan Mata giving them a 17th minute lead, but Gus Poyet's troops came marching back and nabbed an equaliser through Jack Rodwell on the half-hour mark.

Van Gaal once again kept the faith with youngster Tyler Blackett while Robin van Perise returned upfront for the fallen giants.

The Black Cats, on the other hand, gave home debuts to the likes of Rodwell and Will Buckley as they gained a valuable point.
