Brendon Rogers will be looking to get Liverpool’s title challenge back on track with successive wins, following a setback over the New Year. While the Red’s home form is remarkable, their away record, only one win in seven, needs to change if they are to compete at the very top.

Stoke meanwhile are without a win in three and a result against the Reds would prevent them slipping towards a relegation battle. They have a trio of former Anfield players fit should they get the nod, with Charlie Adam, Jermaine Pennant and Peter Crouch vying to face their former side.

The Potters will be unable to call upon the services of Oussama Assaidi however, as the Moroccan winger is on loan from Liverpool and therefore cannot face his parent club. The international will be forced to watch from the stands, although he has controversially stated on Stoke’s website that he would be supporting the Potters in the clash.

A win for Liverpool will see them hold off the challenge of their Merseyside rivals Everton who are in fifth, while Stoke could leap into the top half with victory this weekend.
