Joey Barton, Queen's Park Rangers' captain, has accepted a charge of violent conduct against Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and denied a second charge of alleged violent conduct against Vincent Kompany, the Football Association said yesterday.
Barton, who was sent off for elbowing Carlos Tevez at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, has requested a personal hearing, the date of which has yet to be set.
QPR said they would conduct an internal investigation into Barton's dismissal and his conduct after the FA's hearing.
