Pep Guardiola will be a success in the Premier League, that's the prediction of his former Barcelona pupil Xavi.

The current Bayern Munich manager, who will leave his position in Germany at the end of the season, has confirmed he wants to come to England.

"I want to coach in Premier League. That is the reason I did not prolong my contract," the former Barcelona coach told a news conference.

There will be no shortage of offers, with the two-time Champions League winner linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea in particular.

Whoever he joins, according to World Cup winner Xavi, he will be a success.

The 35-year-old, who now plays for Al Sadd, told the Mirror: "When I was at Barcelona we would always be talking about the Premier League, and our respect for the quality of the teams, the players, and the pace the game was played at.

"Even when he was at Barcelona, you could see it was his dream to one day manage in England.

"I don't think it is even a question if he will be a success in England or not. Of course he will be, like he is a success everywhere."

Guardiola insists he is yet to make a decision on who he will join in the summer.
