Neither Hull nor Liverpool have enjoyed the greatest run of form of lately, but a 2-0 away victory at an in-form Crystal Palace will give Steve Bruce’s side confidence going into the match at the KC Stadium.

Brendan Rodgers’ team, like Hull, have managed only one victory in four Premier League games. A defeat at the Tigers will most likely end any hopes of Champions League football for next season – many argued these hopes were extinguished after a lifeless 0-0 draw at West Brom on Saturday.

Hull, at the other end of the table, will be desperate for victory. Leicester’s miraculous run of form is doing Tigers fans’ nerves no good whatsoever, and the relegation zone beckons louder than ever.

Liverpool’s defence are prone to errors and on Tuesday night they face one of the most potent forwards on his day, Dame N'Doye. The Senegalese hitman grabbed a second-half brace at Selhurst Park at the weekend, and the Reds will surely have done their homework on him. N’Doye has done his best to fill the significant void left by Nikita Jelavic who has been out with injury since March.

With news that Daniel Sturridge may be on the sidelines for the remainder of the season, the Reds rely heavily on Raheem Sterling’s goalscoring exploits. If the likes of Paul McShane and Michael Dawson can contain the young England man, Hull have every chance of claiming at least a point.
