Gérard Houllier, the Liverpool manager, is thrilled at the way Harry Kewell has settled in following his £5m move from Leeds United.

Kewell is due to make his first appearance at Anfield on Saturday against Valencia after opening his account in a friendly at Aberdeen.

"First of all Harry mixes well with the boys and has a good attitude and good mentality," Houllier said. "He's getting into his best shape now. He's a good team player - that's what I like about him. If you're a star player you can be a star, but you must be a team player.

"He's not the kind of player who plays for his ego or for glory. Also I like the way he works for the team - his work-rate in all the friendlies has been phenomenal."
