Jose Mourinho has admitted he is considering playing injured striker Diego Costa against Leicester on Wednesday.

The striker has not played since he lasted just 11 minutes against Stoke City on 4 April, where he suffered his sixth hamstring injury of the season.

Costa, who has 19 Premier League goals this season, was initially expected to have a chance to return against Arsenal on Sunday, but he wasn't deemed fit enough to make the bench.

However, Mourinho has revealed he may play Costa at the King Power Stadium against Nigel Pearson's in-form Foxes, although he will not start him.

"I don’t know about Diego Costa. I have to think about if it deserves a gamble or if we wait a few more days to be completely sure," he told reporters.

"If it was a player without an injury history I would play him tomorrow, but because he is a player with a history I have to think about that."

Mourinho said he would not make huge changes to the team that drew 0-0 with Arsenal.

"I don’t plan to make many changes. I know Leicester played on Saturday and we played on Sunday, but we will try to recover the players as best we can,” he added. "We go today to St George’s to prepare as best we can.

"We will leave the young players here to play their cup final against Man City so we don’t take them with us. Our squad is very short with the injuries we have and so there is no space for a lot of rotation."

Meanwhile Oscar, who started up front against Arsenal before being taken off at half-time following a heavy collision with David Ospina, has revealed he is "feeling much better" in a post on his Instagram account.

Oscar looked suffered a concussion but Mourinho said he was not kept in hospital and will train with the first-team squad ahead of the game.
