Arsene Wenger has revealed that Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky will be out for at least two months after having a knee operation.

The 34-year-old has played only 79 matches in the last three seasons because of various injury problems.

Speaking to the Arsenal website, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Rosicky will be out for a long time, although the Frenchman is not sure when he will return.

"Tomas has had surgery on his knee," said Wenger. "His agent said he will be out for one or two months, but it will be longer. How long exactly, we don’t know yet."

There is good news elsewhere, however, with Hector Bellerin back and available for the visit to Crystal Palace on Sunday, while Alexis Sanchez is back and also fully fit.

Jack Wilshere is "on schedule" to return in around two weeks, while Danny Welbeck is "making good progress, but is still not available".
