Euro 2016 predictions from The Independent

Euro 2016 kicks off on Friday June 10 when hosts France play Romania at the Stade de France in Paris.

The following day England and Wales will begin their campaigns, against Russia and Slovakia respectively, with Northern Ireland among those in action on Sunday playing Poland.

Excitement is growing with all 24 teams and 552 players confirmed.

Can Germany continue their dominance since winning the 2014 World Cup or can Spain redeem themselves two years on from their early exit in Brazil?

England will head to France with the youngest squad of any team at the tournament - the youngest Three Lions side for 58 years. Marcus Rashford will be the youngest player at the Euros at 18 years and 214 days; will he be able to make an impact?

Gareth Bale and his teammates ended a 57-year wait to qualify for a major tournament, how will Wales fare against Europe’s elite?

Will Grigg has had a phenomenal season for Wigan; will he continue to terrify defences for Northern Ireland?

Watch the video above to see what our writers predict will happen in France.
