Héctor Bellerín, the Arsenal full-back linked with Barcelona last week, has been included in Spain's squad for Euro 2016.

The 21-year-old only made his international debut in a 3-1 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday but a hip injury for Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has afforded manager Vicente del Bosque the room to include him in a 19-man squad.

The former Madrid and Beşiktaş boss is expected to reveal the final four at a later date as Spain look to make a better defence of their Euro crown than they did of the World Cup two years ago.

Atlético trio Saúl Ñíguez, Juanfran and Koke remain in the frame to go to France next month alongside Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos, Isco and Lucas Vázquez.

Carvajal’s aspirations this summer, however, are over after being substituted in tears during Real’s Champions League final penalty shoot-out win over Atlético in Milan.

Subsequent scans have since revealed a tear of hip flexor muscles, potentially ruling him out of the new La Liga campaign also.

Speaking last week, Bellerín admitted he was flattered by Barça’s interest. “I don't really get informed about offers,” he said.

“My agent is the one that works on these sort of things, but I'm happy to receive interest from such great clubs. As a player it's really nice.”
