AC Milan striker Robinho insists he is willing to spend time on the bench with three other high-class forwards challenging for a starting role in Massimiliano Allegri's side.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Pato and Ronaldinho in their ranks, the former Manchester City man is happy to play a waiting game under Allegri.

"He (Allegri) is helping me to understand Milan and Italian football," he said.

"It's clear that it will not be easy to see a team with four attackers on the pitch. It's a question of balance.

"But our coach always makes us feel like regulars, like we're all important.

"I assure you that I would never protest against a Sunday spent on the bench."
