Manchester United secured a first away win in all competitions since March with a 1-0 triumph away to Partizan Belgrade in Group L of the Europa League.

Anthony Martial opened the scoring two minutes before half-time from the penalty spot and it was enough to give a youthful side all three points.

The Red Devils’ had failed to win any of their previous 11 away games; a run stretching back to a 3-1 Champions League success over Paris St Germain.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are top of the group with AZ Alkmaar now second after a 6-0 victory at home to Astana. PA
