Ozil agent plays down Barcelona link
The agent of Germany World Cup star Mesut Ozil has played down reports that Barcelona are preparing a big-money offer for his client.
The 21-year-old Werder Bremen playmaker has been one of Germany's stars in their march to the last 16 in South Africa.
Barcelona are reported to be tracking the talented attacking midfielder, but agent Reza Fazeli has cooled reports that the rising star could be tempted by a move to the Camp Nou.
"Mesut Ozil has been a fan of Barcelona for many years but at this point in time he is fully focused on the World Cup," he said.
"There is nothing else interesting from his point of view. And, of course, he has a contract to go at Werder Bremen until June 2011."
Ozil has scored one goal in four appearances for Joachim Low's side during the tournament.
