ARTHUR COX, the former Newcastle United manager, is to return to St James' Park to work with Kevin Keegan again.

Cox, who left Derby last October because of poor health, is fully fit again and took in Newcastle's match at Sheffield United last Saturday. His return to Tyneside will be formally announced today when his precise position will be revealed. Keegan first joined the Tynesiders in August 1982, as a Cox signing.

Manchester United must wait until after Sunday's final match of the season against Coventry at Old Trafford for the Premier League trophy presentation.

United are at home to Southampton tonight, but the League's assistant secretary, Adrian Cook, said: 'The arrangements are already in place for a Sunday presentation.'

Now that Blackburn Rovers cannot overtake United, Premier League officials have decided that Ipswich's potentially crucial trip to Ewood Park must revert to a traditional Saturday kick-off, rather than being televised on Sunday.
