England fast bowler James Anderson has signed a new two-year deal with Lancashire, the county have announced.

The 30-year-old Anderson made his Lancashire debut in 2002, taking 50 wickets at 22 in an impressive breakthrough season, with his form catching the eye of national selectors.

He went on to be the youngest player to take a hat-trick for the country and was an impressive performer for the red rose until England became his primary concern at the start of 2009.

As a result, his participation for Lancashire has been restricted over recent seasons, but the Burnley-born bowler said: "I always love coming back to play for the club when my England duties permit me to and I'm delighted to sign for another two years."
