WAQAR YOUNIS took five wickets and Wasim Akram four as Pakistan dismissed Zimbabwe for 230 in their first innings on the fourth day of the third Test in Lahore yesterday.

Younis finished with 5 for 100, while Pakistan's captain took 4 for 70. Zimbabwe still led by 83 on first innings thanks to an unbeaten 62 from their captain, Andy Flower. Pakistan were 37 without loss by the close second time around.

Hansie Cronje and Daryll Cullinan lifted South African morale six days before the first Test against Australia with centuries against Queensland in Brisbane yesterday. The pair shared a fourth-wicket partnership of 242 after a top-order collapse and at the close the tourists were 297 for 4. Cronje had made 145, while Cullinan was unbeaten on 109.
