Dereck Chisora throws table at Dillian Wyte in pre-fight press conference brawl

Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora came to blows outside of the ring once again on Wednesday during a press conference to promote their upcoming British heavyweight title bout.

Chisora became angered after perceiving that Whyte had made a threat against his life outside the ring and subsequently threw a table at his opponent.

Before throwing the table, Chisora told Whyte: “If you think I’m a p****, I’m a punk, you tell me right now because listen, I am the baddest man you will f****** meet.”

The table's fall was broken by the hands of Mark Tibbs, Chisora's trainer, and promoter Eddie Hearn. No member of the on-stage party appeared hurt after the incident.

Security guards subsequently intervened and penned Chisora in on the opposite side of the room from Whyte, restricting the 32-year-old to merely shout insults at his opponent from across the room.

Whyte’s camp were also cornered off by security guards after the scuffle broke out.

The pair had previously brawled while filming Sky Sports’ The Gloves Are Off programme, after Chisora threw a glass of water in Whyte’s face.

Following that incident, the British Boxing Board of Control requested that the two boxers be kept apart until Saturday’s fight at the Manchester Arena.

Before Chisora threw the table, Whyte had told Sky Sports: “Me and Dereck both know [what would happen] if we were left in a room with no security.

“When I stepped to him and threw punches [during the previous incident], he was scared.”
