'GARDENING on Chalk' is the subject on 21 June in the next gardening event to be held at Chisenbury Priory, Wiltshire. This is a garden from which you can pinch a hundred ideas, whether you garden on chalk or not. In the morning there is a garden walk, to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of these conditions. In the afternoon there is a lecture with slides of chalk-loving plants. The cost is pounds 40, which includes lunch and Chisenbury wine. For full details contact Mary Anne Robb at Chisenbury Priory, Pewsey, Wiltshire SN9 6AQ.
