Waco findings
At least two of the 44 people whose charred remains were recovered from the ruins of a religious cult's Texas compound died of gunshot wounds to the head, Reuter reports from Fort Worth.
The presence of gunshot wounds could help determine if some of the cult members who perished in last week's inferno were murdered trying to escape or hit by ammunition exploding in the heat. As many as 86 members who were followers of the cult leader David Koresh died at the complex near Waco, and federal authorities say they committed mass suicide by setting the place ablaze.
