Sentence cut
President Suharto of Indonesia reduced the sentence of Xanana Gusmao, the jailed East Timorese leader, from life imprisonment to 20 years, Reuter
reports from Jakarta.
Mr Gusmao, the leader of the Fretilin guerrillas fighting for independence in East Timor, was jailed in May for rebellion.
