New clashes in Bosnia
The United Nations special envoy, Yasushi Akashi, condemned Bosnian Muslims and Croats for a rocket attack on the Serb-held town of Brcko in violation of a temporary Bosnia-wide truce, Reuter reports from Zagreb.
The rockets were fired from the eastern part of Orasje pocket, resulting in unspecified casualties.
In the northern enclave of Bihac, Bosnian government forces gained significant ground from rebel Muslim troops. The fighting came as the UN commander in Bosnia, General Sir Michael Rose, said he was cheered at the truce's initial success despite Serb- Muslim clashes.
