A Libyan-chartered ship carrying aid for Palestinians set a new course for the Egyptian port of El Arish today after Israel's navy warned it away from the blockaded Gaza Strip, an Israeli official said.
The Moldovan-flagged Amalthea had been loitering in international waters, and Israeli media said it had reported mechanical difficulties. Israel had also threatened to seize the ship should it try to approach Gaza.
