Supersonic skydiver Felix Baumgartner has been found guilty of punching a Greek lorry driver and fined €1,500 (£1,200).

A court in Salzburg yesterday rejected an appeal by Baumgartner, who denied the charge of causing bodily harm.

The case related to an incident in his home city in 2010 in which a motorist and a lorry driver got into an argument. In April a court found he took the motorist's side and hit the lorry driver. The judge said yesterday that "there was no self-defence situation".

Baumgartner, who did not attend the hearing, set a new world record for the highest parachute jump last month.
