Venezuelan diplomat faces murder charge
A Venezuelan diplomat in Kenya was yesterday charged with the murder of his country's acting ambassador at her official residence in Nairobi.
Olga Fonseca was found strangled in her bedroom late last month, less than two weeks into her posting, after the previous ambassador was accused by his domestic staff of sexual harassment.
Dwight Sagaray, the first secretary at the embassy, has pleaded not guilty in a Nairobi court after his diplomatic immunity was waived. Police believe Ms Fonseca was killed in a power struggle.
