Woodland protest

Eight protesters were arrested when mining contractors bulldozed a barricade they had erected to save an ancient woodland near Neath in west Glamorgan, which is home to rare Marsh Fritillary butterflies. The mining company Celtic Energy wants to develop Europe's biggest opencast anthracite mine on the 880-acre site.
