Scientists warn against panic cuts
British scientists today warn against panic-style spending cuts in the face of the recession, in a letter to William Waldegrave, the science minister, writes Susan Watts. Save British Science, the campaigning group, asks Mr Waldegrave to fight for science as pressure on public spending intensifies.
