Scientists act against tobacco

At least 10,000 lives a year could saved in Britain if the Government agreed to ban tobacco advertising and promotion, doctors and scientists said yesterday. Eight hundred doctors have placed an advertisement in today's Independent to launch their campaign, Scientists Against Tobacco Advertising. Their aim is to protect children from advertisements.
